Ralf Rangnick confirms striker's exit from Man Utd
Manchester United's interim boss Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that Edinson Cavani won't be at the club next season.
The Uruguayan's contract with the Red Devils expires on June 30, and he has been touted to pursue a fresh transfer elsewhere.
It has been known for sometime, but Rangnick has now officially confirmed that the 35-year-old will be playing for another side.
He told MUTV: "Out of our starting XI, there will be 10, apart from Edi Cavani, who will still be playing for this club next season."
Cavani had a good debut season last term with 17 goals for United, but his second has been one with a huge amount of regrets.
The striker missed several weeks due to injuries and when fit, he barely got the chance to lead the line due to Cristiano Ronaldo's presence.
Cavani got the nod to start at Crystal Palace earlier today, but hardly made any difference. Palace won 1-0 after a Wilfried Zaha goal.
