Arsenal desperate to sell Pepe

Arsenal are reportedly desperate to part ways with Nicolas Pepe in the upcoming transfer window.

The Ivorian joined the club from Lille for £72m three years ago, and it was anticipated that he would be a key player.

However, that has not been the case. Under Mikel Arteta, Pepe hardly played over the course of the previous campaign.

With just two years left on his contract, the hierarchy are now eager to offload him with his valuation already at a low.

It was previously claimed that they were looking for around £25m, and it remains to be seen whether there are suitors.

Pepe has already instructed his agent to look for interested clubs, having become frustrated with the lack of league starts.

The 26-year-old ended the 2020/21 campaign on a high note with regular goals, but struggled at the beginning of last term.

He was dropped to the bench in the middle of October, and did not make another Premier League start for the rest of the season.
