Chelsea face Man Utd and Newcastle competition for midfielder

Chelsea are set to face competition from Manchester United and Newcastle United in the pursuit of Adrien Rabiot.

The Frenchman has just 12 months remaining on his Juventus deal, and he has been touted to leave for a knockdown price this summer.

The Blues are interested in signing the former Paris Saint-Germain man, but are set to face stiff competition from two Premier League rivals.

United recently made contact with intermediary Luis Ferrer, and have acknowledged that they are interested in signing the 27-year-old.

Newcastle are also in the mix for the central midfielder. They are prepared to hand him a significant salary to lure him to St James' Park.

Rabiot is valued at around £16m by the Bianconeri. He may choose his next club depending on the salary package on the negotiation table.

United could be best placed to sign him in this regard, but they seem to be prioritising a deal for Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong as of now.
