Man Utd keen on signing Inter Milan defender?

Manchester United reportedly have their sights on landing Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries this summer.

The Red Devils were heavily linked with the Netherlands international last summer, but he eventually joined the Nerazzurri from PSV.

He had a quality debut season with five goals and four assists from 33 Serie A games, but could be on the move in the next few weeks.

The Nerazzurri need to balance their books by June 30 to avoid FFP sanctions, and they are prepared to sacrifice Dumfries for the same.

Alessandro Bastoni has also been linked with an exit, but the Nerazzurri believe he is too valuable and are willing to offload Dumfries instead.

The Dutchman is currently valued at around £25m. Calciomercato report that United could face direct competition from Bayern Munich.

It remains to be seen whether United can lure the 26-year-old without Champions League football. He would be a solid upgrade for them.

Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka failed to contribute a single goal or assist last term. The latter has been tipped to be sold this summer.
