Tottenham on the verge of signing Arsenal target

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly on the verge of signing Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma.
The Mali international has been a long-term target for the Gunners, but it appears they have not made a formal approach.
Their hesitancy has benefitted Spurs, who are now prepared to sign him for around £20 million, according to The Times.
Bissouma has built his reputation as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League over the past few years.
His arrival could coincide with the departure of Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, who has been the mainstay in the holding midfield role.
The 26-year-old has been with Spurs since the summer of 2020, and has now been touted to make the switch to Newcastle United.
Spurs have been active in the transfer market this summer. They have already signed Ivan Perisic on a free transfer from Inter.
James Forster has also joined them, and Bissouma seems the next in line. They could make five more signings before the deadline.
