Chelsea readying fresh bid for Premier League attacker
Chelsea are set to make a renewed attempt to sign Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling, Fabrizio Romano reports.
The Blues recently sanctioned the loan exit of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan, and they are now expected to bolster the attack.
Thomas Tuchel is eyeing at least two forwards, and it appears Sterling is the prime target for the west London giants this summer.
Their opening bid of £21m was immediately rejected, but the Blues are already planning a fresh attempt to land the Englishman.
Marina had started talks with City earlier this month. Following her exit, owner Todd Boehly is now in control of the negotiations.
A renewed bid is expected in the coming days, but City may not sanction Sterling's exit unless their asking price is fully met.
They recently sold Gabriel Jesus to Arsenal for £45m, and are expected to demand a similar figure for the ex-Liverpool man.
Sterling was linked with Barcelona in the past, but they are no longer keen.
