Chelsea agree personal terms with Raheem Sterling
Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling ahead of his transfer, The Independent claims.
The Blues opened negotiations with the Cityzens in the middle of last month, and they are now on the verge of signing Sterling.
Personal terms over a long-term deal have been agreed with the 27-year-old, and he is expected to join the club over the coming days.
According to The Independent, the Blues will pay £45 million for Sterling with a further £10 million in the form of performance add-ons.
Sterling is said to be fully convinced by the project under manager Thomas Tuchel and he is set to become the club's first summer signing.
If the necessary formalities are completed in time, he could travel with his new teammates for their pre-season tour of the United States.
Chelsea are scheduled to take the flight on July 9. They will face Club America, Charlotte FC and Arsenal in their North America trip.
