Chelsea very interested in Frenkie de Jong

Chelsea are very interested in signing Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong, who is also on the radar of Manchester United.

The Netherlands international has been a top target for the Red Devils, but they have yet to finalise his transfer.

A fixed fee of around €65m has been agreed, but the clubs are still negotiating add-ons in the region of €20m.

Amidst this, Chelsea have entered the race to land the Dutchman, and it is claimed that they are 'very interested'.

It is added that there could be a possible swap deal with Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta moving the other way.

Meanwhile, the Blues may also have the advantage over United, having qualified for next season's Champions League.

De Jong has yet to agree personal terms with United, but it has been claimed that he wants to play in the elite competition.

The news will come as a big blow for the Red Devils, who have been trying to sign the 25-year-old over the past month.
