Thomas Tuchel makes Cristiano Ronaldo transfer decision

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has doubts over signing Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, The Mail reports.

The Portugal international is currently eyeing a move away from Old Trafford following his failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Chelsea are one of the clubs that can afford his £400,000-a-week wages, but Tuchel is reluctant to give the go-ahead for the transfer.

While club owner Todd Boehly is open to a deal, The Mail reports that Ronaldo's arrival could disrupt the harmony in Tuchel's attack.

The German tactician failed to get the best out of Romelu Lukaku last summer. The Belgian striker has now returned to Inter on loan.

Tuchel has second thoughts over landing a new marksman as he prefers a more flexible and dynamic front three for the next campaign.

This is one of the reasons behind the decision to sign Raheem Sterling. The England star could play out wide or as the main striker for Tuchel.
