Chelsea agree deal for Kalidou Koulibaly
Chelsea have reached a formal agreement with Napoli to sign defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, Fabrizio Romano claims.
The Senegal international has been on their radar for the past six years, and he is now set to join them on a permanent transfer.
The 31-year-old agreed personal terms with the Blues earlier this week, and Napoli have now given the go-ahead for the deal.
The Serie A outfit were initially hoping to extend his stay with the promise of a boardroom role following his retirement at the club.
With that being unsuccessful, they have decided to sell him instead of losing him for nothing when his deal expires next summer.
Koulibaly should be a fantastic signing for the Blues despite his age. He could have a similar impact as Thiago Silva at the club.
The former Genk man has shown no signs of slowing down, and could be a key player on the right side of the back three next term.
