Chelsea readying fresh move for Jules Kounde

Kounde back on Blues radar

Chelsea are prepared to make a fresh attempt to sign Jules Kounde this summer, ABC Sevilla report.

The Blues are long-term admirers of the Frenchman, and they failed with an attempt to land him last year.

A bid of €55m was made to Sevilla, but the La Liga outfit wanted his €80m buy-out clause to be triggered.

It is now reported that Chelsea are planning a fresh attempt, and will use the help of super-agent Jorge Mendes.

Mendes will act as an intermediary for them such that they can negotiate a lesser fee for the central defender.

Chelsea have already signed one centre-back in Kalidou Koulibaly, and they are close to signing another in Presnel Kimpembe.

They are still expected to move for Kounde. The west London giants are eyeing three quality centre-backs.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping tabs on Kounde, but Chelsea remain the most interested.

They will be hoping to sign him for less this summer.
