Arsenal revive interest in signing Brazilian star
Arsenal have revived their interest in signing Juventus midfielder Arthur, according to football.london.
The Gunners were keen on signing the Brazilian on a six-month loan in January, but Juventus refused to accept their proposal.
The Bianconeri were adamant that they wanted an 18-month loan deal with an option to buy of around €40 million.
This pulled the plug on the proposed move, but it appears the Gunners will try again for him over the coming days.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is eyeing a new central midfielder this summer, and prefers a ball-playing option.
Youri Tielemans has been linked on a weekly basis with the club, but the hierarchy seem to be focusing elsewhere.
It could be true that they are back in the race for Arthur. Arsenal may now try to sign him on a season-long loan deal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also looking to recoup funds. Lucas Torreira and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are among midfielders that could be sold.
