Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans has reportedly told his close friends about his desire of joining Arsenal.

The Belgium international has been a long-term target for the Gunners, and he was initially linked with them during his Anderlecht days.

Earlier this summer, the Gunners were touted to sign him, but a deal has not materialised thus far due to the Foxes' high valuation.

The Midlands outfit want £30m for the midfielder, but the Gunners are reluctant to pay over £21m with his contract expiring next summer.

This has stalled negotiations between the clubs, but Football Insider claim that Tielemans has a longing desire to don the Gunners' shirt.

The 25-year-old has conveyed the same to his friends, and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners revive their interest in him.

Arsenal are currently on the verge of signing Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City, who can play at left-back and in midfield.

His arrival may raise questions whether they will move for Tielemans.
