Arsenal favourites to land Cody Gakpo?
Arsenal are front-runners to sign PSV Eindhoven attacker Cody Gakpo, according to Dean Jones.
The Gunners were heavily interested in signing Raphinha this summer, but he ended up joining Barcelona from Leeds United.
The club have since cooled their pursuit of a winger, but there have been reports that they are working secretly behind the scenes.
As per Jones, the Gunners are leading the hunt to land Gakpo, who bagged a stunning 21 goals and 15 assists for PSV last season.
The Dutchman is capable of playing on either wing, but he can also lead the line. His versatility could be perfect for the Gunners.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has already given the go-ahead for Nicolas Pepe to leave. The board are prepared to cut their losses on him.
Gakpo could be an ideal replacement with his huge potential. The 23-year-old is said to be eager to play in the Premier League.
Manchester United have also been linked with him in the past, but they have different ideas now with a new striker being a priority.
