Thomas Tuchel wants to land former Arsenal star
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen on landing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before the transfer deadline.
The Blues have already spent £160m in the transfer window, but they are yet to sign a specialist striker to replace Romelu Lukaku.
They have been linked with multiple names, and according to Florian Plettenberg, Tuchel is open to signing Aubameyang.
Aubameyang was previously a key player under Tuchel at Borussia Dortmund before he made the switch to Arsenal in January 2018.
After four years, he made the move to Barcelona on a free transfer. He was superb for them last term with 13 goals from 23 outings.
Tuchel would like a reunion with him, but it may require a healthy fee, considering the Blaugrana are determined to keep him.
Despite the purchase of Robert Lewandowski, manager Xavi believes Aubameyang has much to offer off the bench this term.
The Spaniard is also prepared to play the duo together in certain games. Hence, a deal seems highly unlikely to happen for now.
