Goncalo Guedes on Wolves' radar
Goncalo Guedes is set to leave Spanish side Valencia for a move to the Premier League, after an unnamed English club had a bid accepted for the Portuguese international striker. It is understood that Wolves have had an offer accepted of 30 million euros for the striker.
The 25-year-old striker has been with Valencia since 2018, scoring 23 goals in 113 games and has emerged as a bright prospect for his country, scoring 7 goals in 32 games. With Wolves desperate to add attacking reinforcements to their squad, the club look set to sign yet another Portuguese player. Guedes is comfortable playing on the wing or up front, and has previously spent time at Paris St Germain where he played just 8 games. Prior to that, Guedes came up through the Benfica youth and B teams, before appearing 39 times and scoring 5 goals for the first team.
It is understood that Arsenal were also amongst the sides interested, but not at the 30 million euro pricetag suggested and now Wolves are in pole position to secure the signing of the Valencia man. Guedes will sign a five year contract at Molineux.
