Conor Coady on his way to Everton
Conor Coady is reported to be a target for Everton, as the Premier League side seek to bolster their defence for the new season that started last weekend. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Everton have already agreed a fee with Wolverhampton Wanderers' captain, and Coady is set to travel to Liverpool to thrash out personal terms with the Goodison Park outfit on Tuesday.
Romano left a Tweet on his account on Monday, “Everton are prepared to complete both Conor Coady and Amadou Onana signings this week.
“Documents in progress with Wolves for the centre-back who’s top of Lampard’s list.”
Frank Lampard is desperate to bring in new faces for the season, having lost the likes of Richarlison last month. The club have plenty of money to spend, but have so far been unable to attract the type of players that Lampard wants to add to his squad.
Coady is likely to link up with other summer signings James Tarkowski and Dwight McNeil as the club reshape their squad to build on last season's dismal performance in the Premier League.
