Chelsea not giving up on Aubameyang transfer
Chelsea are not giving up on their pursuit of former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Spanish outlet Sport claim.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is determined to sign a new striker after losing the services of both Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku.
Aubameyang is the obvious first-choice for the German. The current Barcelona star played under him at Borussia Dortmund.
Tuchel has urged new owner Todd Boehly to make a good offer, and he remains optimistic that Barcelona will be tempted to sell.
Xavi Hernandez views Aubameyang as a quality back-up option behind Robert Lewandowski for the upcoming campaign.
However, the Catalan giants' dire financial situation could persuade them to sell if a lucrative transfer offer arrives on the table.
Meanwhile, Aubameyang may also be tempted to leave the Blaugrana as he would not want to play second fiddle to Lewandowski.
Aubameyang netted 20 goals for Arsenal and Barcelona last term. Tuchel will be hoping that Chelsea can secure his services.
