Forest sign Emmanuel Dennis

Emmanuel Dennis has agreed a contract with Nottingham Forest and will join from Watford in a deal worth £20 million. The Nigerian international forward has decided that he wants Premier League football and a move to Forest proved too difficult to turn down.

Dennis passed a medical test late last night and the final details will be wrapped up early on Saturday morning.

Dennis had an impressive first season in England for Watford, scoring 10 goals in 35 Premier League games. Nottingham Forest have already spent over £100 million on new players and this deal appears to be the final one to get over the line before closing their cheque book for the transfer window.

The forward will receive a reported £80,000 per week salary at Forest, and will sign a four year deal with an option to leave after one season should the City Ground outfit be relegated to the Championship.

West Ham were amongst the clubs linked with a move for Dennis, but it appears Forest have again beaten the Irons in a deal on the transfer market, having persuaded Jesse Lingard to make the move to North England as opposed to East London.
