Tuchel bond with Aubameyang could be key to Chelsea move
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks set for a return to the Premier League, as the former Arsenal man will likely end his contract with Barcelona and could sign for Chelsea before the transfer window closes. The Gabon international famously left the Gunners in January in controversial circumstances, after a number of disciplinary issues.
However, just yesterday Thomas Tuchel revealed in an interview that he shares a very close bond with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, having coached the forward at Borussia Dortmund.
Chelsea are looking for a new attacker, and Barcelona are ready to sell having already procured Robert Lewandowski.
Tuchel told the media: "This is totally separate from anything that is happening now, but I enjoyed a lot working with Auba while I was at Dortmund.
"Some players stay your players because you were very, very close. And Auba is one of those players. There was always straight away this close bond. They always stay your players in a way."
Barcelona are ready to sell or release several players ahead of an important La Liga registration deadline.
