Chelsea ready to pay £60m for Premier League prodigy
Chelsea are prepared to pay £60 million to prise away Anthony Gordon from Everton this summer, according to The Telegraph.
The Blues have already made six signings during the transfer window, and they plan to continue their spending on more recruits.
The focus appears on pursuing players with a long-term future, and Gordon has been identified as one of their top attacking targets.
The Toffees graduate has already agreed personal terms over a transfer, but the Merseyside outfit appear adamant on keeping him with them.
They have apparently turned down the fresh proposal from the west London giants despite Gordon making a transfer plea to the club's hierarchy.
Gordon's head has been turned by the Blues' interest. He is said to be keen on winning regular trophies as well as playing Champions League football.
Chelsea have yet to give up on landing his services this summer, and a deal may depend on whether the Toffees can land a suitable replacement.
