Bayer Leverkusen to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi on loan
Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi will spend a season on loan in Germany, after Bayer Leverkusen agreed a 500,000 euro transfer loan fee for the England starlet. It is understood that Hudson-Odoi has been impressed with the way other English youngsters have improved in the Bundesliga, and believes a move away will help his own career progress.
Hudson-Odoi had informed his agent and club Chelsea that he wanted to leave Stamford Bridge this summer just last week, and Leverkusen have beaten a host of Premier League teams in the signing of the versatile youngster.
Chelsea do not want to sell Hudson-Odoi on a permanent basis, and are doing all that they can to persuade the player not to leave, after manager Thomas Tuchel insisted that the forward is still in his long-term plans.
That being said, Hudson-Odoi has been told that he can travel to Germany to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical with Leverkusen, and he is widely expected to be unveiled to the press on Friday afternoon, should personal terms and no medical hiccup occurs.
