Renan Lodi joins Nottingham Forest on loan
Nottingham Forest have sealed a move for full back Renan Lodi from Atletico Madrid. The talented defender had been linked with a host of Premier League sides this summer, but has opted to make a move to Forest on a one year deal.
Renan Lodi can play at left or right back, but his preferred positio is on the left. In 3 years, he appeared in 84 games for Atleti, scoring four goals.
A statement on Forest's website read: "Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the signing of Atlético Madrid full-back Renan Lodi on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old arrives on Trentside having spent three seasons in the Spanish capital, appearing 118 times in total including 23 appearances as Atlético won the La Liga title in 2020/21.
The Brazil international has represented the Seleção on 15 occasions since making his debut in October 2019 against Senegal.
With 27 Champions League appearances to his name, Lodi was a key figure for Diego Simeone's Atlético as they reached the quarter-final stage twice in the last three campaigns."
