Chelsea make Trevoh Chalobah transfer decision
Chelsea have decided to keep Trevoh Chalobah in the first-team squad despite the impending arrival of Wesley Fofana.
The Blues have already bolstered their central defence with Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella, and Fofana is set to join them soon.
This had led to suggestions that Chalobah could leave on loan, but the decision has been rescinded, according to Standard Sport.
After a meeting between manager Thomas Tuchel and owner Todd Boehly, it has been decided that the graduate will stay at the club.
Chalobah has also agreed to the solution. The youngster has been assured with a regular rotation role with the hectic schedule this term.
Chelsea recently returned to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Leicester City. With the result, they have moved to sixth on the table.
The Blues face Southampton on the road on Tuesday night before a weekend derby against West Ham United in front of their supporters.
Tuchel will be hoping that Fofana is registered in time to face the Saints.
