Atletico Madrid sign Sergio Reguilon
Atletico Madrid have completed the loan transfer deal of Spanish defender Sergio Reguilon, with the full back signing a one year deal at the La Liga giants. The defender has been told that he is free to leave Tottenham, and a deal that Juventus and Nottingham Forest had hoped to seal fell through this morning.
Reguilon has flown to Spain this morning to wrap up the final pieces of a loan transfer deal.
Having allowed Renan Lodi to depart to Nottingham Forest, Atletico have opted to move for Reguilon, and the player has been back in his home country discussing personal terms with Diego Simeone's side.
It is understood there is no option for a permanent transfer included at this time, with Tottenham reserving the right to sell the player at the end of the season.
Under Antonio Conte, Reguilon's first-team football has been extremely limited, leaving the Spaniard desperate to find a new club. Reguilon's agents have been in discussions with several sides, but a breakthrough has been made with Atletico just today.
