Chelsea to sign Josko Gvardiol next summer

Chelsea are set to sign RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol in advance for next summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues have already spent £180 million on new signings, and their spending spree will extend to £255m with Wesley Fofana's arrival.

Gvardiol was another centre-back linked with them earlier this summer, and Romano reports that the Blues are now set to land his signature.

RB Leipzig have been adamant that Gvardiol is not going anywhere this season, and Chelsea have now agreed to their demands to sign him.

The move will come as a potential blow for the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City, who have also been interested in the Croatian.

Gvardiol is regarded as one of the best upcoming central defenders in world football. Chelsea have made a good decision to sign him in advance.

The Blues are still not done in the summer transfer window, and they could sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Anthony Gordon by Thursday.
