Newcastle enter race for Youri Tielemans
Newcastle United have entered the race to sign Arsenal target Youri Tielemans before tomorrow's transfer deadline.
The Belgian has been heavily linked with the Gunners throughout the summer, but they are yet to make a formal bid.
The Foxes' £30 million valuation has seemingly put them off and amidst this, it is reported that the Magpies have joined the race.
The Tyneside outfit were initially keen on landing James Maddison from the Foxes, but their £60 million bid was instantly rejected.
Similar to Maddison, Tielemans is a key player for the Foxes, but their hands are tied with his contract expiring next summer.
The 25-year-old can easily sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in January, and this could force the Foxes to cash in on him.
Newcastle are now pushing for his signature, and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners offer competition in the pursuit.
Tielemans has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners, but the club are only willing to sign him on a cut-price deal.
