Numerous outlets are reporting that Leicester City will complete a transfer deadline day move for Brazilian full-back Marcelo, with the Real Madrid legend signing a one year contract at the Foxes. Marcelo has been a free agent since the summer, and has admitted that he dreams of one last chance to play in the Premier League.

The 34-year-old is the most decorated player to have ever worn the Real Madrid jersey, and was released by the Spanish giants during the summer after winning yet another Champions League medal.

Brendan Rodgers is seeking reinforcements for his defence, particularly on the left side, where he occasionally plays youngster James Justin.

Marcelo played over 386 times for Real Madrid, and has also appeared 58 times for Brazil. The 34-year-old is expected to agree a deal today and will reportedly earn a whopping £200,000 per week at the Foxes.

Leicester City hope to use some of the funds received from the sale of Wesley Fofana to pay the salary of Marcelo. Completing a deal for the defender will be a huge milestone for the Foxes, who have struggled to compete in the transfer window all summer.
