Nottingham Forest set to sign Michy Batshuayi
Nottingham Forest are set to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi before today's 11 pm deadline, Fabrizio Romano reports.
The Belgium international has been with the Blues for the past six years, but has made just over 70 appearances for them.
He has spent time on loan with multiple clubs, and it is now reported that he could become Forest's 22nd summer signing.
Batshuayi has entered the final year of his Chelsea contract, but the Blues have the option to extend his stay for another season.
It is reported that Forest have proposed to sign him on loan, and a deal could be straightforward as they are set to meet his wages.
Forest have spent over £150 million on new purchases this summer, and it remains to be seen whether they can beat the drop.
The club's owner has shown intent in the transfer market this summer, and it is up to Steve Cooper to get the best out of the players.
