Chelsea and Manchester United games postponed
The Premier League games for Chelsea and Manchester United this weekend have been postponed due to policies issues.
The Blues were scheduled to host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, but the lack of sufficient security has led to the postponement.
With the Queen's funeral due to take place on Monday, the London police have not been able to provide adequate personnel for the game.
The same is the case for United's fixture against Leeds at Old Trafford.
The Greater Manchester Police are currently deployed across various points in the United Kingdom as well as events with high significance.
Taking the safety of the fans in mind, United have decided to postpone the fixture to a later date. Both games are likely to be played next year.
Chelsea and Manchester United will still be in European action in midweek. The Blues are scheduled to entertain RB Salzburg on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils will be away from home for their Europa League game. They are scheduled to face Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday.
