Ronaldo totally committed to Man Utd - Erik ten Hag

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has dismissed suggestions that Cristiano Ronaldo could leave the club in January.

The Portugal international was keen on heading for the exit door this summer as he wanted to play Champions League football.

However, United were quite clear that they did not want to lose him, and the stance remained unchanged throughout the transfer window.

In recent days, it has been suggested that the 37-year-old may make a fresh attempt to leave this winter, but Ten Hag has denied it.

Speaking in yesterday's press conference, Ten Hag said that Ronaldo is totally committed to the team and the ongoing project.

The Dutch tactician said: "He's totally committed to this project, totally committed to this team, totally involved."

"He also has connections that are coming around him and he is constructing connections so I'm happy with that."

Ronaldo scored his first goal of the campaign for United yesterday. He scored from the penalty spot in a 2-0 win over Sheriff.
