Arsenal and Liverpool to move for Real Madrid star?
Arsenal and Liverpool could compete for the services of Real Madrid star Marco Asensio during the January transfer window.
The Spaniard has entered the final year of his Madrid deal, and will be free to sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in January.
Madrid may likewise be open to selling him for a knockdown price, and AS report that the Gunners and Reds could move for him.
The 26-year-old wanted to fight for his Madrid future this campaign, but he has been largely ignored by manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Asensio has scored once for Madrid in just 43 minutes, and this could yet cost him a place at the World Cup with Spain this winter.
Meanwhile, the former Mallorca youngster could move to the Premier League in January amid interest from the Gunners and Reds.
Mikel Arteta is eyeing another right-sided winger, having decided to loan out Nicolas Pepe this summer. Asensio could be an ideal fit.
Jurgen Klopp is also keen on adding more creativity in the final third. The Reds have lacked the cutting edge after selling Sadio Mane.
Asensio was valued in the region of €30 million in the last transfer window, but could be prised away for significantly less in January.
