Chelsea will enter race for Bundesliga attacker - Fabrizio Romano
Chelsea will reportedly enter the race to sign RB Leipzig attacker Christopher Nkunku next summer.
The Frenchman was in scintillating form for the Bundesliga outfit last campaign, registering 35 goals and 20 assists from 52 games.
He has carried on the good form with seven goal contributions this term, and Romano believes he could head for the exit door next summer.
Nkunku put pen-to-paper on a fresh contract with Leipzig this year, but the deal includes a release clause which becomes active in June 2023.
Chelsea are one of his firm admirers and Romano feels that they will be among the main contenders for his signature at the end of the season.
He said: "There will be many clubs in the race for Nkunku next summer, including Chelsea as they’ve always been interested and attentive to his growth."
Aside from the Blues, Manchester United and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the former Paris Saint-Germain youngster.
Arsenal are also long-term admirers of the Frenchman, but they seem to have cooled their pursuit after the purchase of Fabio Vieira from Porto.
