Lukaku to join Inter permanently?

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku could reportedly join Inter Milan on a permanent basis in the summer of 2024.

The Belgian rejoined the Blues from the Nerazzurri last season, but he struggled to make an impact with just 15 goals.

As a result, he was loaned back to the San Siro side this summer, but has yet to find his feet following an early season injury.

Lukaku's current loan deal concludes in June 2023, but it is claimed that Inter are likely to extend his temporary stay for 12 months.

If he manages to impress, the Nerazzurri could proceed to sign him permanently, though they are unlikely to pay much.

Chelsea paid a staggering £97 million for Lukaku in August 2021, but they are unlikely to recoup anything close to the figure.

Meanwhile, Blues owner Todd Boehly is willing to cut the club's losses on the striker, who has no desire to return to London.

Graham Potter has also given the green light to offload Lukaku.
