Aston Villa to make January bid for Chelsea forward

Hakim Ziyech is wanted by Aston Villa in the January transfer window, as the wantaway attacker seeks a move away from Stamford Bridge. Former Ajax attacker Ziyech is said to be ready to leave Chelsea for a fee of around £20 million, and it is hoped that the Morocco international will help bolster the Blues' attacking nous.
It had been reported just yesterday that Juventus had been interested in a move for the player, but the Moroccan has indicated he would be happier staying in England for the time being. Chelsea had hoped to use Ziyech as a makeweight in a deal to sign midfielder Adrien Rabiot from the Italian giants.
With a World Cup on the horizon, Ziyech has suggested that he may be interested in returning to the international fold. Previously, Ziyech retired from international duty but rumours suggest the player is ready for a return.
Since his arrival in 2020, Ziyech has gone on to play 49 times, scoring six goals. In a four year spell with Ajax, the player returned 38 goals in 112 games.
