Liverpool enter race for Bruno Guimaraes
Liverpool have reportedly joined Chelsea in the race to sign in-form Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
The Brazilian has made an immediate impact with the Magpies this year, bagging seven goals and three assists from just 27 games.
He has established himself as one of the Premier League's leading midfielders and his progress has impressed the Reds.
According to TNT Sports, Liverpool have expressed an interest in Guimaraes, but they are not alone in the player's pursuit.
Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City have also made contact with his representative to find out his availability in the near future.
Despite this, the Magpies are confident that they can keep the 24-year-old and are prepared to reward him with a new bumper contract.
The Tyneside outfit have made a stellar start to the league campaign and are presently fourth in the standings with 21 points on the board.
If they can sustain this form until the New Year, there is a good possibility that they can attract more high-profile players this winter.
