Bruno Fernandes suspended for Aston Villa game
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes won't play any part against Aston Villa in next weekend's Premier League clash.
The Portugal international has been inconsistent for the Red Devils this term, but he continues to remain an undisputed starter under Erik ten Hag.
He played the full 90 minutes against the Hammers this evening, but won't take part next weekend after accumulating five yellow cards in the league.
Fernandes will serve a one-game league suspension as a result of the booking today. In his absence, Christian Eriksen could play higher up the field.
Meanwhile, compatriot Diogo Dalot may also need to be wary over the coming games, considering he is also a booking away from being suspended.
United picked up a hard-fought 1-0 win over the Hammers at Old Trafford earlier today. With the victory, they have moved within one point off the fourth spot.
The club have picked up momentum after a dreadful start to the campaign and will be aiming to break into the Champions League places before the winter break.
