Mikel Arteta provides Bukayo Saka injury update
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an injury update on Bukayo Saka following his early substitution against Nottingham Forest.
The Gunners registered a convincing 5-0 win over Forest earlier today and Saka created the opening goal for Gabriel Martinelli in the fifth minute.
However, the England star was substituted before the 30th-minute mark as he was limping after picking up knocks to his leg as well as his ankle.
Speaking after the game, the Gunners boss said that it was a bad kick from the beginning and does not believe the concern is anything serious.
He said: "Hopefully not, It was a bad kick right from the beginning he was limping, but I don’t see any further than that, let’s see how it is in the next couple of days."
Saka has played a key role for the Gunners this term and hopefully, he will be available for selection for the remaining games before the World Cup.
In his absence, Reiss Nelson produced a stellar showing off the bench with two goals and an assist thus proving that the club have quality depth.
