Arsenal can sign Ligue 1 midfielder for £35m
Arsenal have the opportunity to sign Lens midfielder Seko Fofana for £35 million during the January transfer window.
The Gunners were heavily linked with midfielders in the last transfer window, but could not find the right candidate.
However, they should bolster the position in January, considering the club are currently top of the league standings.
Mikel Arteta will be backed with funds and it remains to be seen whether Fofana emerges as a possible option.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Ivorian could be available in January as he is process of finding a new agency.
The reputed journalist added that both Arsenal and Liverpool could move for the midfielder, who is valued at £35m.
Fofana is a central midfielder by trade. He has registered two goals and two assists from 12 matches this campaign.
He could be seen as a competitor to Granit Xhaka rather than Thomas Partey, given his attacking attributes.
Aside from Fofana, Arsenal have also been linked with Palmeiras' Danilo.
