Chelsea to beat Arsenal to Youri Tielemans?

Chelsea are reportedly planning to beat Arsenal to the signing of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans.

The Blues are keen on pursuing a central midfielder in the January transfer window and Tielemans is now under consideration.

The Belgian was heavily tipped to join the Gunners last summer, but they were put off by the Foxes' asking price of £40 million.

Tielemans is now set to enter the final six months of his contract, and Ben Jacobs claims that Chelsea could sign him in January.

Arsenal have been patiently waiting for his contract to run down, but the Blues could hijack their pursuit with a mid-season transfer.

The west London giants are ready to offer around £20m for the former Monaco man and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal respond.

Mikel Arteta's side are looking to sign a versatile winger next month and they could as well prioritise a new central midfielder.

Tielemans has a big decision to make at the beginning of 2023.
