Arsenal have excellent chance to sign Serie A midfielder

Arsenal have an excellent chance to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this month, according to Dean Jones.

The Gunners were heavily linked with the Serbian star in the last transfer window but they did not make an approach.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old was also not keen on a transfer, but the scenario has completely changed over recent months.

Milinkovic-Savic is reportedly impressed by the progress made under Mikel Arteta and he is now open to joining Arsenal.

The Gunners have an excellent chance of signing him, but it is not known whether they will make a serious transfer offer.

Milinkovic-Savic has entered the last 18 months of his deal, but Lazio are expected to demand €60m to €70m for him.

Arsenal were eager to sign a central midfielder last summer, but their priority has somewhat changed for January.

A new winger and a striker are the main targets for them. A midfielder may not be pursued until the end of the season.
