Erik ten Hag confirms big injury blow for Man Utd star
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Donny van de Beek could be out for a period of time following his knee injury.
The Dutchman started in the number 10 role against Bournemouth last night, but was substituted before the half-time interval with a setback.
He was grimacing in pain as he was taken off the field and Ten Hag has admitted that his situation does not look that great at the moment.
He said: "No, that is too quick [on the extent of Van de Beek's injury]. We have to wait 24 hours and then you can make the right diagnosis. The medical team have to do their work, it doesn’t look that great."
Van de Beek can't catch a break with United at the moment. He worked hard to return to the starting line-up, only to suffer a gruesome injury.
This could potentially have an impact on his Red Devils career as the club are already looking for a young midfielder for next season.
