Man Utd readying shock move for Bayern star

Manchester United are ready to make an approach for Bayern Munich striker Eric Choupo-Moting whose deal expires in the summer.

The Cameroon star has been in superb form for the Bundesliga giants this term. He has bagged 11 goals and three assists in all competitions.

He was linked with a move to Old Trafford before the World Cup and it is now claimed that the Red Devils are still pushing to sign him.

Choupo-Moting has been in contract talks with Bayern recently, but the striker has yet to agree fresh terms amid playing time issues.

The 33-year-old does not want to accept a back-up role with Bayern next season if they go on to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham.

Amidst this, United are hoping to land him this month and it remains to be seen whether Bayern entertain any bids for his services.

Bayern could be prepared to keep him for the season or else they may demand a hefty fee of around €20 million to sanction his sale.
