Chelsea are reportedly deemed favourites to sign Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram this winter.

The Blues have been in a poor run of form in all competitions and they are desperately aiming to strengthen their attack this month.

They have already secured the services of Molde striker David Datro Fofana but manager Graham Potter wants a more experienced signing.

Thuram has now been identified as a top target and Fabrizio Romano claims that the Blues are leading the hunt to land the World Cup finalist.

The west London giants are willing to negotiate a cut-price deal with his club but the final decision will lie on the shoulders of Thuram himself.

He has entered the final six months of his deal with the German outfit and may leave in January or run down the remaining length of his contract.

Thuram has been in sensational form for Monchengladbach this campaign, bagging 13 goals and four assists from only 17 games for them.
