Arsenal favourites to sign Joao Felix ahead of Man Utd

Arsenal have moved ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix this month.

The Gunners are aiming to bolster their attack in the ongoing transfer window as they look to compete for the Premier League title.

Felix is one of the top names on their radar and Corriere dello Sport claim that they are making progress over a transfer.

The Gunners are ready to pay a big loan fee up front and on top of this, they are ready to negotiate an option to buy as well.

On the other hand, Manchester United are only willing to sign Felix on a dry loan and won't pay over the odds for the 23-year-old.

Mikel Arteta's side are currently front-runners to sign the highly-rated forward, who is said to be desperate to leave Atletico.

Felix has been in-and-out of the line-up under manager Diego Simeone, but has still impressed with nine goal contributions this term.
