Chelsea weighing up fresh bid for Moises Caicedo
Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a fresh bid for Moises Caicedo as they look to bolster their defensive midfield department.
The Blues were hot on the trail of Benfica star Enzo Fernandez earlier this month, but failed to meet the Portuguese club's demands.
Benfica wanted his release clause worth £105m to be paid in full, but the Blues were only willing to offer £90m in four instalments.
As a result, talks completely broke down and it is now reported that the Blues will attempt to land Caicedo before the window closes.
Their opening bid of around £55m has already been turned down and they are now planning a renewed proposal in the region of £65m.
It is likely that the Seagulls will turn down their fresh bid as well. The South Coast outfit don't plan to accept less than £80m for him.
Caicedo has also been linked with Arsenal, Newcastle United and Manchester United, but none are interested in him this winter.
