Arsenal are on the cusp of signing another youth prospect, as Ibrahima Bamba has flown to England to undergo a medical this weekend. The defensive midfielder, who is 20-years-old, is said to be seeking to fulfil a dream of playing in the Premier League and wants to move to North London as soon as possible.

The Italy-born youngster moved to Portugal in 2020 to join Vitoria Guimaraes, and has impressed in the club's first-team. The youngster has already been a part of Italy's national team setup, despite not having yet won a cap for his country, as Roberto Mancini called him up in May 2022 for a 53 player training camp.

Excellent performances in Portugal have impressed director of football at Arsenal, Edu, who has asked one of his top scouts to prepare a dossier on Bamba's talent.

It is understood that Vitoria would accept a bid of around 7 million euros for the midfielder, and that Arsenal are more than happy to oblige before the January transfer window closes next week.
