Jurgen Klopp provides Liverpool transfer update after Brighton loss
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that he does not expect any signings between now and the transfer deadline on Tuesday.
The Merseyside giants have signed just one player in Cody Gakpo this month. The Dutchman has yet to find the back of the net.
There have been regular claims that they could pursue a central midfielder, but Klopp has insisted that the transfer business is done.
Speaking after the 2-1 loss to Brighton in the FA Cup fourth round, he said: "Nothing will happen in this transfer window, not at all. It's all good with this squad."
The Reds have had a dreadful Premier League campaign with just 29 points. They are a staggering 21 points behind leaders Arsenal.
Meanwhile, there is a 10-point gap between them and the top four. Liverpool seem likely to miss out on Champions League football next term.
They can of course qualify for the competition by winning the competition this term but that seems an improbable tast with their current form.
