Thiago Silva confirms contract talks with Chelsea
Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has confirmed that talks are underway with the hierarchy over a new contract beyond this season.

The 38-year-old is currently one of the first names on the teamsheet and he is now prepared to put pen-to-paper on a new short-term contract.
Silva is ready to help the Premier League giants with the rebuilding job as he approaches the final phase of his illustrious playing career.
He told ESPN: "We are negotiating, it will probably happen in the next days. My plan is to continue at Chelsea and Chelsea want to continue with me. Chelsea need me with the rebuilding of the club — and here I’m"
Chelsea return to Premier League action on Friday night with a home game against Fulham. They will be aiming to return to winning ways.
The Blues are currently 10 points adrift of the Champions League places and need a big winning streak to have any chance of closing the gap.
