West Ham United to sign Manchester United midfielder?
West Ham United have emerged as potential candidates to sign Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay this summer.
The Scotland international started the season as a regular from the number six role, but lost his place to Casemiro in October.
He has since played second fiddle with cameo appearances and has his sights on leaving the club at the end of the campaign.
Newcastle United are already interested in landing his services, but it seems they could face competition from the Hammers.
David Moyes' side are currently in the relegation zone and may have to avoid the drop to have any chance to landing the Scot.
United value McTominay in the region of £30m and will be hoping for a bidding war to drive the price up during the summer.
Aside from McTominay, Fred could also head for the exit door this summer with the Red Devils planning a mini-midfield overhaul.
They are looking at the prospect of landing a marquee midfielder and could also turn Marcel Sabitzer's loan deal into a permanent one.
